Digital Photography: Working Workflow

Shoot first and ask questions later!  Why not do both.  Photographer Chris Green will lead this 2 day workshop exploring Cape Cod's natural beauty, and the basic workings of Adobe Lightroom.  Day 1 will focus on shooting in the Cape Cod environment and day 2 will be in the studio learning how to work with Adobe's Lightroom.  Chris has extensive experience shooting all over the Cape, and has chosen prime locations for great shooting.  He is also an advanced user of Lightroom, and will help you understand how this amazing program can be a powerful tool in helping you work with your digital images.  FEE $325

Digital Photography: RAW - The How and Why

This 1 day workshop will help those who are trying to photograph in RAW to understand the advantages and disadvantages of this file format.  We will work with processing RAW files to better understand the conversion process and do camera tests to explore other format options. FEE $175

Digital Photography: REFINING RAW

Working in RAW can be a blessing or a curse.  This 1 day workshop will help you to refine your eye to reproduce the most acurate images from your RAW files.  You will gain an understanding of what a balanced file looks like and how to achieve this working with RAW convertion in both Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.  FEE $195

Digital Darkroom: PHOTOSHOP - The Basics

This 2 day workshop will introduce the basic features of Adobe's Photoshop software. The workshop will cover set up of Photoshop's preferences and color management features, basic tools, adjustment layers, simple masking techniques, and retouching.  FEE $325

Digital Darkroom: LIGHTROOM - The Basics

This is a 2 day workshop that focuses on learning the basics of Adobe's Lightroom image editing and management software. Lightroom is the best cross-platform (Mac & Windows) program for digital photographers. The workshop will begin with an overview of the program to orient everybody.  We will get into the details of the Library and Develop modules.  We will spend a good deal of time learning how to edit our shoots to separate our best images from the rest.  A laptop with Lightroom installed is a great benefit, but not required.  FEE $325

Digital Darkroom: Print Reviews

If you are printing on your own and are looking for some feedback, these 2 hour group print reviews are for you.  There will be discussion, question and answer time, and individual print reviews.  You will have an opportunity to ask questions about your printing technique, print quality and how to make improvements to your work.  FREE

Digital Darkroom: Printing - The Basics
This is a 2 day beginning workshop for those who want to make digital prints, but don’t want to learn all the technology that goes along with it. Participants will build a foundation by learning the basics of Adobe Photoshop needed for making color prints.  Students will receive the kind information needed to keep digital printing simple including equipment needs and setup, file preparation and management, color vision and more. FEE $385

Digital Darkroom: Printing - Beyond The Basics
This 2 day workshop is for those who have taken The Basics and want more. By exploring some of the advanced printing tools of Photoshop and working one on one, students will leave with a better understanding and comfort level with the digital printing process.  FEE $385

Digital Darkroom: Fine Art of Digital Photographic Printmaking
In this 3 day workshop students emerse themselves in the Digital Printmaking process. Working in an one on one atmosphere, you will concentrate on making the finest prints possible from you files. You will look at your prints from different perspectives to see what is possible and find the best solution for your images.  You will learn what technologies and equipment are necessary for printing and what to do with products you already have. Working with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom you will learn to control your input and output in a way that is intuitive to photography. You will gain an understanding of what it really takes to make outstanding prints, not just acceptable ones.  FEE $645
